Purposes of Establishment
The reason why Bridgeway Family Counseling Center was established was because God made us realize that many of the people we met in counseling were God’s people who had lost God, wandering around exhausted from wounds, pain, and suffering. He made us realize that the counseling field is a mission field where we must spread not only God’s love and comfort, but also the gospel. As the number of people suffering due to COVID-19 increased, we realized that God’s comfort and love were needed more than ever. While praying with a heavy heart, I realized that God wanted to comfort His people through Isaiah 40:1, “Comfort my people,” and opened the counseling center with an obedient heart.
God gave us, who are like small candles, the mission of building a bridge in the world as ‘Bridgeway, connecting God and people, people and people, generations and generations, and countries and countries.’ Bridgeway Family Counseling Center was established with a clear mission to spread God’s love and comfort to the world. It is a mission field established by God’s love for His children, not for personal gain or purpose.
Vision and Mission
The vision of Bridgeway Family Counseling Center is to continuously connect counselors who have God’s heart and to spread the gospel through counseling to Korean diasporas scattered around the world. Our counseling center serves as a channel that connects counselors who have the gospel and love in their hearts with clients who are hurting and suffering, and to create a counseling platform that spreads God’s comfort beyond regions and borders. Our greatest vision is to spread God’s love and comfort through counseling based on Christian values.
Our counseling center does not stop at individual counseling, but provides group counseling for various purposes and opens education and seminars for individuals and parents to provide various educational opportunities to many people. We understand the hardships, limitations, and burdens of the counselors who lead the counseling, and we have a vision of creating a place for support, encouragement, and fellowship by providing face-to-face and non-face-to-face spaces where counselors can rest and share.
Our Bridgeway Family Counseling Center provides counseling through professional counselors for issues that are difficult to deal with within the church through Christian-based counseling in cooperation with local churches. We have a vision of uniting with churches to provide confidentiality and safe counseling for issues that each member has and personal issues that are difficult to share.
